What is a job or occupation?

It's a person's usual or principal work or business, specially as a means of earning a living; vocation:  i.e, she is a doctor.

Another explanation for job or occupation is: any activity in which a person is engaged.

YOU ALREADY NOW  A LOT ABOUT JOB AND OCCUPATIONS. NOW LET'S LEARN HOW TO ASK SOMEONE FOR THEIR JOB..


You simple use one of the following two questions: What's your job? or What do you do?

To answer this question you use the verb to be conjugated plus your occupation. Example: I am a teacher or I am a doctor.

You can also use the rest of the pronouns when asking and responding to those questions. Example: What does she do? or What's her job?.. The answer should be: She is a__________. You'll complete the blank space with the name of the job or occupation.

The Feelings

FEELINGS AND EMOTIONS




On a daily basis we let others know how we feel by the way we behave or express ourselves. The humans have the tendency to act differently when feeling differently.

Feeling is the nominalization of the verb "to feel". The word was first used in the English language to describe the physical sensation of touch through either experience or perception. The word is also used to describe experiences.

In this Blog you´ll learn how to express your feelings in English, to let others know how you feel and ask others to say how they feel. 


Some of the most important feelings are:







Now, we need to learn how to ask someone else about their feelings... The question we use is:

HOW DO YOU FEEL?    or   HOW ARE YOU?



The answer is simple!

I FEEL or I AM + The feeling from the chart above.

Example...  I feel happy = I AM HAPPY, and so on for the other emotions.

The Verb To Be

THE VERB TO BE IN SIMPLE PRESENT



El verbo 'To be' tiene una importancia especial en inglés. Se corresponde a los verbos españoles "ser" y "estar". Dependiendo del sentido de la frase deduciremos de cual de los dos se trata.


The simple present tense indicates an action in the present time which is not finished. This can be a habitual action or a general truth.

To conjugate the verb to be is really important for a great interaction in class.
